Episode Title: Don’t Go It Alone
Whether you’re working multiple jobs or just feel like you are, sharing the load can really help. Here’s why you don’t have to go it alone, next on The Perna Syndicate.
Ep 670 show:
Welcome to The Perna Syndicate today! If you’ve ever worked more than one job at a time, you know how it can drain your mental and physical energy. Add to that all the ordinary pressures of life, the logistics of any family or home responsibilities, and it’s a recipe for exhaustion.
Yesterday I shared 4 quick reminders to keep burnout at bay. Today, I’ve got one more, and it’s simple: don’t go it alone.
Don’t be afraid to seek support. If you are feeling overwhelmed or struggling with your mental health, you need to find someone to help, whether that’s friends, family, or a mental health professional.
Being independent and strong is great, but we can all overdo it sometimes. When you’re stretched too thin, it’s time to enlist the people in your life to come alongside and help.
Everyone needs a support network, and there are times when you need to lean on it more heavily than others. Just be sure, when your workload changes, to pay forward the support you were given. It’s a great feeling when someone can pick up your slack—and an even better feeling when you are in a position to give someone else a helping hand.
Whether you’re working multiple jobs or just feel like you are, sharing the load can be a big help. Take it from me: you don’t have to go it alone.
Thanks for being part of The Perna Syndicate this week! I’m your host, Mark Perna, and we’ll see you back here next week for more insights and inspiration. Take care!
