Episode Title: Don’t Just Believe. Act

Believe in yourself—it’s a message young people have grown up hearing. But is belief really enough to succeed? Let’s talk about it, next on The Perna Syndicate.

Ep 435 show:

You’re now in The Perna Syndicate—hi there! As we wrap up our discussion of Gen-Z start-ups, I wanted to share some really insightful advice that teen entrepreneur Destiny Snow mentioned in our interview.

I asked her what advice she would give to entrepreneurs of any age. She said, “Believe in yourself,” but then in the same breath, she added “and don’t always wait for opportunities to come to you. Create them.”

I thought that was really powerful. As a business owner myself, I can attest to the need to believe deeply in yourself and the value of what you bring. “Believe in yourself” is not wrong advice. But by itself, it’s not enough.

If you want success, you have to go after it with everything you’ve got. You can’t just believe. You have to act.

I often say that dreams without action are nothing but phantoms. They’ll never materialize into anything solid or real. I find that belief and action work hand in hand to move us closer to our goals. We believe we can and act accordingly. And then when we see results from our action, it gives our belief a boost.

The golden opportunities of life rarely just fall into our lap. And sometimes when they do, they’re disguised as challenges. It’s up to us to recognize the opportunity hidden in the challenge, and then believe we can achieve something truly meaningful through it. That’s where success stories begin.

That’s all for this week on The Perna Syndicate. Thanks for tuning in and making this a part of your day! I’m your host, Mark Perna, and we’ll see you back here next week for more on The Perna Syndicate. Until then, take care!
