Episode Title: Celebrating Every Success

To stay motivated in the middle of our story, we need to celebrate every goal that is achieved, big or small. Stay tuned for more, coming up next on the Syndicate.

Ep 198 show:

You are now in The Perna Syndicate—welcome! This week, we’re talking about how to make your story a success story. Most of that work happens in the middle, when you’re not sure yet how the story is going to turn out—but you keep going.

America’s space program has a lot to teach us about reaching seemingly unreachable goals. You take that huge goal and break it down into smaller ones, solving them one by one on your way toward the ultimate objective. And at the completion of each step of the journey, you celebrate.

Every success, big or small, was celebrated as the Space Race progressed. It wasn’t just at the end, when Neil Armstrong stepped onto the surface of the moon, that Americans cheered. No, we celebrated every step that was taken along the way that got us there.

The space program is the perfect example of staying focused, creating a long-term plan with short-term objectives, and celebrating each success with a greenlight to the next objective.

There’s a lesson here for us. Celebrating the smaller successes, as well as the big ones, is a powerful way to encourage family members, coworkers, and young people.

Maybe they’re in the middle of their story, trying to reach that happy ending. They don’t know yet if they’re going to succeed. Let’s be mindful and celebrate every success, big or small, on the way to their ultimate goals.

So how does the light at the end of the tunnel motivational strategy have to do with the middle of your story? We’ll talk about it tomorrow on the show. See you then!
